Produced in response to the theme ‘Me Myself and I’ the 30 images in this gallery were designed to be installed as an array 6 images wide by 5 high (as seen here). The photographic element is a 30 image, 30 minute time-lapse record of Revad working in the studio. The painting medium used was acrylic on canvas and paper, the paper being the photographs.
Each image can now stand alone as an individual self portrait. The residue of marks are painted elements from the original canvas and in this full installation refer to Revad's development as an artist. The symbols used represent a map, a location and the idea of growth and progression. For each standalone image the same marks provide elements that refer to Revad's well known abstract fusion images.
